Trammell Crow Company's High Street Residential commenced last work on a new multifamily residential development near DART's SMU/Mockingbird Station in University Crossing.

The 394-unit development, located at the northeast corner of Twin Sixties Drive and Worcola Street, calls for a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom units ranging from 524 to 1,485 square feet in size.  Plans also call for a rooftop deck, a pool, and other various amenities.

“This location represents the best of what Dallas has to offer—connectivity, culture, and convenience,” said TCC's Joel Behrens. “Being steps away from the SMU/Mockingbird DART station means residents can enjoy a car-light lifestyle, with easy access to jobs, entertainment, and education across the region. By adding more housing density here, we’re supporting a vibrant, walkable community that reduces traffic congestion and promotes sustainability. The area’s energy, anchored by SMU and a thriving mix of retail and dining, makes it an incredibly attractive place to live, and we’re excited to help shape the neighborhood.”

The project will be accompanied by a 500-car garage accessible to DART passengers.

The project team includes architecture firm GFF Design, as well as Andres Construction Services, Spiars Engineering, Ellie Aiello Interiors, landscape architect Office of James Burnett, structural engineer Urban Structure, and Schmidt & Stacy Engineers. Santander Bank provided the construction loan.

Completion of the project is expected in 2027.
